Just an Idea let me know what you all think please.
Guild halls are hard for a single user to get. IE Price. Wouldnt it be neat if you could go to the Guild Wars store and buy with real money a guild hall. Make it a few different options. Cheep one you get a guild hall with nothing just the basic. then have one where you get like a guild hall with a weapons and armor seller. Then the best deal you get a guild hall with everyone you can possibly have in there with a cool 15% off all items purchased in your guild hall by you and your members only not for guests. Let me know what you all think. I think this would be great to help keep this game going and give us some new stuff to get into.

A sigil is worth about 13k right now. That's hardly expensive... 1-1.5 hours of farming :/

I'm adamantly against being able to purchase any in-game advantages using real money.

No. Guild Halls are cheap enough already.

Disagree
If you have a guild of even 5-10 people, then you can easily split the cost or if you really want one (guild of one for alliance battles for example). Then you can easily save up for it for a major investment.
The other reason why I would object to the store is the sigil are a (one of the) price's for winning the HoH and being able to buy would take that away.

I want the store to sell money. 100k for $3 to undercut the farmers, make anet some money, so they can hire competent PR (READ: not a fairy tooting cookie eating maniac that has no clue about real pvp...)
I also, would like items of all kinds sold in the store.
I work for a living, unlike half the teenagers who complain about selling things in the store. And quite frankly, I would rather spend 1/100th of an hours salary on ingame items than spend 100 hours WORKING IN GAME to get them.
If you cant convince mommy or daddy to buy you gold. Work at mcdonalds.

I purchased a guild hall by myself for 54k way back when and I never did any farming. Now you can buy them for 12k. This takes about an hour of farming. It's not at all hard to save up 12k even if you don't farm =/
As for buying money in the store.... ummm... NO. This would cause a total imbalance and unfairness in the game. It would also cause prices to skyrocket and people who didn't buy gold wouldn't be able to afford crap. And what's the fun in buying something extremly expensive and not having to work at all ingame for it? Just fork over 40 bucks and buy obsidian armor? You wouldn't even feel accomplished. You'd most likely feel dissapointed for having wasted 40 bucks for stuff thats completly digital.

I can see it now.
Eternal Forgemaster in your guildhall $19.95
120 Ectos & 120 Shards $49.95
Req 7 any skin 15^50 weapon $9.95
Glint, Seer, Shiro, Rurik, Lich as usable henchies $9.95 each.
Master rewards for Factions missions $4.95
Mission and Bonuses for Tyria missions $4.95
UAX $49.95
Rank 9 $199.95
What was the point of playing this game?

I agree with Zinger on this one...I hardly have the words to describe how this would change the game, and IMO for the worse...Honestly you sound a little like the people who claim "guild wars was meant for PvP not PvE! get a clue!". A little shortsighted, I think.
As for the original suggestion, maybe I would have suggested a secondary way of getting a GH wayyyy back when GW started. It's different now. First of all they're dirt cheap (someone said 13k..that's nothing). Secondly, there's no way they should be put in the store. Sorry, man. Get some buddies together like EternalTempest said and you can all chip in.

$3 for 100k...heh...
Listen up eh, like you said you work too much to play Guild Wars that much. So here's how it is. You reap most of your rewards in RL, where-as the dedicated gamers work only a little/not at all and reap their rewards mainly in-game. You have to prioritize which one is more important to you, you can't have the best of both worlds.
If you started paying RL money for ingame cash, then you'd be putting out all the people who work hard ingame to make the same ammount of money. Remember these are the people who work little in RL and mostly ingame, so they wouldn't have as much funding to buy stuff with RL cash, so the only way to make it fair to the ingame workers would be to give them the option of trading ingame money for RL money...which is ridiculous.
OP, what kinds of PvE chars do you have? I'm betting I can find you a way to make enough money for a sigil in give or take an hour.
We don't need to buy guild halls with RL cash. We shouldn't buy guild halls or any other virtually tangible in-game items.
I like extra char slots, I would definitely like a lil more storage. Other than that there isn't anything else that needs to be sold for RL cash. Well...except for a Guild Cape shaped like a druid's cloaks :P
RWAR!! DRUIDS!! Make it so!

No on the cash=guild hall idea.
And in regards of 100K for cash, no.
Is a game for a reason. I understand that you have a job and you make money, but so do the rest of us. I still would not want to pay ANet real money for virtual money. Sure it is different than EBay because the creators are the ones receiving the cash, but in the end it is still the same idea.

It's so easy to get what you need in guildwars...
The point of a guild hall is for your GUILD. With my old guild of FOUR people, we were able to make the money in 45 minutes to buy a guild hall. Why would a single stand alone user be trying to get a guild hall...?

I wouldn't use him either in missions or any quests at all. Although it would be fun if you could choose him as a henchie when you're bored. Rurik + Unyielding Aura, think of the possibilities.
